Primary School – Little Kingdom School
Years 1 to 6
At Little Kingdom School, our Primary Section provides a nurturing, stimulating, and academically rich environment for students from Year 1 to Year 6.
Following the internationally respected Pearson Edexcel curriculum, we guide our learners through key stages of growth by building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, science, and global citizenship.
Our dedicated teachers, child-centred approach, and supportive school culture ensure that every student develops confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love for learning.
Our curriculum is designed to help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Each year group offers age-appropriate learning that develops essential skills and knowledge:
Year 1 – Early literacy, phonics, number skills, and structured play-based learning
Year 2 – Reading fluency, basic writing conventions, foundational maths and science
Year 3 – Transition to more independent learning, multiplication, scientific exploration
Year 4 – Complex reading comprehension, extended writing, problem-solving
Year 5 – Critical thinking, research skills, advanced numeracy
Year 6 – Exam readiness, leadership skills, preparation for secondary education
Each year group follows a clear progression path, ensuring continuity and mastery of core concepts.
Students benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum, including:
